Trainers & Learning Approach

Understand the subject. Ask questions. Put it into practice.

Effective training starts with the task you need to perform. Our teaching combines subject knowledge with clear examples, practical exercises and direct discussion.

Expertise that fits the course

Effective trainers do more than present slides. Relevant qualifications, subject experience and the ability to explain clearly all matter for the course they teach.

PECB courses are delivered by PECB trainers authorised for the relevant course. For our own Academy programmes, trainer selection follows the subject, learning outcomes and intended assessment requirements.

Personal support throughout learning

Live sessions give you space to ask questions, discuss possible solutions and contribute your perspective. Exercises connect directly to the learning goal, such as an audit finding, a structured risk decision or a clear presentation.

Oliver Kölsch leads the Academy. His work in IT, data protection, quality management and expert-witness training informs its practical focus. We confirm the assigned trainer and teaching language for each scheduled course.

Live online or together in the classroom

Live online sessions use alfaview. Your course portal provides the relevant information and materials. The course offer explains any additional learning and assessment components.

Classroom attendance includes catering and personal discussion with the trainer after teaching finishes. Overnight accommodation is not included. Select your format on the course page or discuss arrangements with us.

Your learning path in three steps

01

Clarify the goal

We discuss your starting point and professional task, then identify a course that fits your learning needs and timetable.

02

Work actively

Connect the subject matter with examples and exercises. Questions, discussion and feedback reveal what is clear and what needs further attention.

03

Demonstrate the outcome

Completion depends on the course: a PECB examination and any further credential requirements, or an Academy final assessment leading to an Academy certificate.

Frequently asked questions

Who will teach my course?

Trainers are assigned to the relevant course and date. Ask us about the intended trainer’s professional background and teaching language before booking.

Can I bring questions from my work?

Yes. Your own questions help connect learning to practice. Use anonymised examples and do not share confidential information about employers or clients.

Are online courses recorded videos?

Our live online training takes place with a trainer at agreed times. Any additional materials or preparation components are described in the specific course offer.

What equipment do I need?

For live online training, use a suitable computer, a reliable internet connection and audio. You receive access details and practical instructions before the session.

Can I request a particular trainer?

Yes. Tell us your preference and we will check subject suitability and availability for your intended dates.

Are teaching and certification the same thing?

No. Training prepares you for defined learning outcomes. The award requires the relevant examination and any further evidence specified by the programme.

Do you offer team training?

Yes. We discuss the shared task, existing skills and suitable dates. The agreed content and completion requirements remain clear.

Let us discuss your learning goals.

Whether you need a subject course, the next qualification level or training for your team, we can help you choose. Solo-self-employed participants should check possible KOMPASS funding with an official contact point before booking.
